Description of site:

  • 114 fully furnished flat-share rooms in shared apartments; each room has a bed with mattress (90x200cm) and mattress coversheet, a table, a chair, a bedside table, a cupboard, a standing lamp and some book shelves.

  • rooms are 14 to 15 m2

  • bathrooms (WC, shower, washbasin) most apartments have two bathrooms, these are shared by 3 or 4 others, fitted kitchen and living room for those living in the apartment.

  • there are a few rooms available for the physically disabled.

  • 21 fully furnished studio flats for 1 or 2 persons (2 beds with mattress (90x200cm) and mattress coversheet, a table, 3 chairs, a bedside table, a cupboard, a standing lamp and some bookshelves), private bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin) and fitted kitchen (3 hotplates plus fridge and oven)
    Please note that the lease is in the name of one tenant only.

  • studio flats are 23 to 26 m2

Bedding, dishes and towels are NOT provided.

Connections:

All rooms and studio flats offer a WiFi connection, a TV socket and a telephone socket (contact house manager to get connection). Every person owning a device that allows them to listen to the radio or watch TV have to pay Billag AG license fees.

Room and studio upkeep :

  • the cleaning of communal areas (kitchen and sitting room) must be done regularly and in turns by each tenant
  • each tenant is responsible for cleaning his/her own room/studio flat including the shower/WC (periodic checks are made by FMEL staff).
  • Detergents, brooms, duster and hoover can be borrowed from the house manager.

Hours of silence at night and other cohabitation rules

  • Tenants shall show due respect to their neighbours and should not make any noise inside or outside the building (music, talking, bottles thrown in the container, car doors slammed, etc. after 10 p.m.)

The residence is for both men and women

TEMPORARY rentals during the summer (June to August):

  • In the summer, from June  to August, some rooms are available for rent on a short-term basis depending on our availability. Priority will be given to students.

  • For the rental fees, including the bedding kit (pillow, sheets, blanket) see Rental Fees under lease type “Tempo”.  The full amount of rental and the deposit must be paid in advance.
