When registering on our website on Tuesday May 3, 2016, please consider the following information as you will have to indicate your preference concerning the start date of your stay at the FMEL. You will be able to choose between the 1st and 16th of a month.
• September 12 to 16, 2016: academic welcome sessions
• Monday September 19, 2016: bank holiday
• Tuesday September 20, 2016: first day of classes
Please contact the UNIL or EPFL to determine when your presence is required.
You will also have to choose the type of accommodation that you will require. We thus suggest that you check out our website before registering in order to determine which type of room would suit your needs best.
No documents are required for registering, we will only need you to fill in a basic form with your contact details.
If you are not registered yet and are looking for a room at the FMEL for next semester – 2016 Autumn semester – (or even as of June 2016), you will be able to register on our website on Tuesday May 3, 2016.

On March 12, 2016, the FMEL organised its first FMEL Ski Challenge on the ski slopes of Leysin.
It was a great opportunity for about fifty tenants to enjoy the ski slopes and sun of Leysin and participate in a parallel slalom team competition.
The day ended with a fondue at the Kuklos restaurant and a nocturnal descent back to the ski resort.
It was also a great occasion for our tenants to meet and interact with tenants from different houses or residences.

In order to simplify and standardize procedures, the FMEL Board has validated the decision to replace the FLEX and LONGTERM leases with just one type of lease, named EASY.
This measure applies only to new tenants with lease start dates from 1 January 2016. The FLEX and LONGTERM leases remain valid with the conditions subscribed to and no change to lease type will be possible.
