To terminate your lease, you need to do so in writing (if possible by registered post) to the FMEL administration office, at least 1 month in advance.The postmark validates the date. For example, to terminate the lease for 30 June, you need to post your letter by 31 May.
We also accept termination by e-mail, addressed to the e-mail address of your residence. N.B. : in order for termination to be valid by e-mail, you must have received a written confirmation of termination from the administration office. (This may take up to a week in peak times). Therefore, kindly advise us of your termination several days before the end of the month for the following month.
Lease termination is always for month end. The FMEL will advise residents in advance if any exception to this applies.
The longer in advance you advise us of your termination, the easier it is to assign your room or studio to a new resident.. Therefore, please advise us of your date of departure as soon as you know, even if this is several months in advance. We thank you for your cooperation.
