Residents

You are a resident in one of our rooms or studios. Here are some useful tips for your stay and some guidelines that will ensure that our houses run smoothly.

A for air

We recommend that you air your room or studio every day : lack of air causes damp and bad smells. It’s also a good way of waking up! To air your room, throw your window wide open for 5 to 10 minutes every morning and evening. This is enough time to renew the air and avoids losing too much heat.

Don’t leave your room open all day especially in winter : this wastes energy!

L for laundry

All houses have their own laundry facilities. You can wash and dry your clothes using pay-as-you-go machines (either cash or prepayment cards). The house managers will explain how these machines work. The dryers are free of charge and we strongly advise you to use them rather than drying your clothes in your room or studio. The humidity released by doing so causes damp and mould to the building.
