Lodge hours: Mr. Tomatis house manager, is present every morning, between 7.30 – 8.00 a.m. On Mondays and Thursdays he is there in the afternoon too, between 1.30 – 2.00 p.m.

- 56 furnished single rooms (each with a bed, mattress and mattress coversheet, a table, a chair, a portable filing cabinet, a bedside table, a cupboard + shelves, 1 desk) with private bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin).

37 furnished studio flats for 1 person (each with a bed, mattress and mattress coversheet, 2 tables, 3 chairs, a bedside table, a two-door wardrobe, 1 desk), private bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin) and 1 kitchenette (2 hotplates, microwave, fridge)
studios are 25 m2
a few 2-room flats for 1 to 2 persons (2 beds with mattress and mattress cover , 2 desks, 3 chairs, 2 cupboards, 2 bedside tables), a private bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin) and 1 kitchenette (2 hotplates, microwave, fridge)
2-room flats are approx. 40 m2
144 furnished rooms (each with a bed, mattress and mattress coversheet, a desk, a chair, a cupboard / shelves, 1 portable filing cabinet, in flat-shares of 3 to 5 rooms.

2 shared bathrooms (WC, shower, washbasin) and fitted kitchen and shared living room for 5 people
Bedding, sheets, towels and dishes are not provided.

- all rooms and studio flats have an internet connection (Wireless in the N°9 building, modem in N° 11 building), a TV socket (TV royalties (Billag) must be paid by residents who have a TV Billlag AG
- telephone socket (to obtain a connection : contact the house manager)
Rent – PERMANENT residents:
- monthly rent for a room in a shared flat (all inclusive) varies between CHF 457.– and CHF 477.–
monthly rent for a single room (all inclusive) is from CHF 507.–
monthly rent for a studio flat (all inclusive) is from CHF 627.–
monthly rent for a double studio flat occupied by two peoble (all inclusive) is from CHF 710.–
monthly rent for a 2-room flat (all inclusive) varies between CHF 830.– and CHF 930.–
for persons subject to foreigner tax, the tax is additional CHF 30.–

Lease :
- minimum duration 3 months. Termination in writing, one month in advance for the end of the month.
- maximum duration 5 years, or up to completion of Master’s degree.
- security deposit is equivalent to approximately one and a half months’ rent

Room upkeep:
- for the N° 9 building : the cleaning of communal areas (bathrooms, kitchen, living room and corridors) must be carried ou regularly by each tenant in turn. Each tenant is responsible for cleaning his/her own room.
To do so, a hoover may be borrowed from the concierge. (Periodic checks are made by FMEL staff).
for the N° 11 building, the shared kitchens are cleaned daily by FMEL staff. Residents, must, however, wipe the table, sweep the floor if necessary and do their own washing up after every meal. Cleaning and tidiness in the room or studio flat is the responsibility of each tenants.
- To do this, a broom, duster and a hoover can be borrowed from the concierge.

- please respect neighbours and refrain from making noise outside (playing loud music, having discussions, throwing bottles into the container, etc) after 10 p.m.
All residences are for both men and women.
TEMPORARY rentals during the summer:
- In the summer, from June onwards for reservations of 3 months or under, prices applicable are as per website with an additional Sf 200.- for a room and an additional Sf 250.- for a studio. A security deposit of Sf 400.- will need to be paid. Total rent and deposit must be paid in full in advance. If you are interested in this offer, you need to sign up on our website www.fmel.ch under “temporary rental” and then send an e-mail to the house of your first choice. You will be contacted roughly one month prior to your arrival date if we have a room to offer you. This offer is also valid in Bourdonnette, Ochettes, Triaudes and Marcolet and rentals in these houses are for full months only.
- For temporary residents bedding kits can be hired : for information, contact the house manager.

Shared utilities:
- a recreation room available to residents (subject to reservation).
Laundry room:
- 6 washing machines (coin operated or prepaid card system – contact the house manager) and 6 tumble dryers (free of charge).
Waste disposal:
waste must be sorted as follows. (Bins are available between buildings N° 9 and N° 11) : please contact house manager.

By systemtatically, properly sorting your waste, you contribute to protecting the environment.Thank you for your cooperation.
Parking:
- a few outside car parking spaces are available behind the building at a monthly rental of CHF 60 (contact Ms Selden for information).
Bicycles:
- a closed bicycle park is available and can be accessed by residents using the room key
Cellars – storage:
- for the storage of large objects, one cellar per flat is available and can be accessed with the room key.
